About Express English Language Institute
Express English is an English language and exam-preparation institute with three Dubai centres: Port Saeed in Deira, Business Bay and Jumeirah Lake Towers. Most of its courses are aimed at adults (general and business English, IELTS, PTE and more), but it runs a dedicated private tutoring programme for children, from young learners through to teenagers, at all three centres. Lessons are one-to-one and can take place in a classroom at a centre, at home or online. Tutors are native English speakers, and the kids' programme uses Oxford phonics, reading and writing materials alongside Cambridge University materials. Lessons can be tailored to phonics, letter formation, reading, grammar, listening or writing, and parents receive progress reports. The institute says its courses are KHDA approved and come with a completion certificate. It has been teaching since 2018 and is now part of the MindBase Education group. Its standard private tutoring rate is 2,500 AED for a 10-hour course.

Private English tutoring for children is one-to-one (or very small group) lessons with a teacher who shapes each session around the child. For younger learners that usually means phonics, letter formation, early reading and plenty of talking, through games, songs and picture books. Older children and teenagers work on grammar, reading comprehension, essay and report writing, and the speaking confidence that school presentations need. Because the teacher sets the pace, a child who is behind can catch up and a child who is ahead can stretch. Lessons can start as soon as a child is beginning to read and write, and carry on right through secondary school.

Classrooms have interactive whiteboards and large screens, and lessons use games, quizzes and e-learning apps. Students sit a progress test at the end of each level.
