Excellent English Institute: English for kids in Al Warqa
About Excellent English Language Training معهد إكسيلنت إنجليش للغات
Excellent English Institute is a language centre on the first floor of Al Warqa City Mall, opposite Union Coop (shop F13). Alongside IELTS and TOEFL preparation, business training and adult classes, it runs a General English for Kids course. The institute describes the kids' course as fun, interactive and engaging: children learn through play, exploration and creative expression, with age-appropriate activities, games and projects that build a foundation in English while working on creativity, critical thinking and social skills. The course is pitched both at children just starting out and at those who want to improve their fluency. The website is in English and Arabic, and the centre is rated 4.8 on Google from 240 reviews. Ages, levels, class times and fees are not published online, so the practical next step is a call to the centre: ask which group would suit your child, when it meets and what a term costs. For families in Al Warqa, Mirdif and nearby, it is a mall-based option with on-site parking.
The activity
English (ESL), explained
English as a second language classes help children who speak another language at home, often Arabic, build confidence in English outside school. A typical kids' class mixes speaking and listening games, short reading and writing tasks, songs, stories and small projects, so children practise the language by using it rather than only memorising rules. Classes usually group children by age and level, and many centres start with a short placement chat or test. Regular practice supports schoolwork, reading for pleasure and everyday conversation. Children can usually start once they are happy to sit through a short group lesson, and older learners can work towards grammar, writing and exam skills.
Who it's for
Children at any stage of learning English: the institute says the kids' course suits a child who is just starting their language journey or one looking to improve fluency. Age bands and levels are not published; ask the provider. The same centre also teaches adults, exam candidates (IELTS, TOEFL) and business learners.
What to expect
The institute describes its kids' classes as fun and interactive, with age-appropriate activities, games and projects, and learning through play, exploration and creative expression. Its home page also mentions a points-and-levels style of practice with bite-sized lessons. Class size, lesson length, what to bring, any placement test and whether a trial lesson is offered are not published: ask the provider when you call. It is worth asking how children are grouped, how often the group meets each week and whether you can watch or wait nearby during the first lesson.
