About Dubai Little League
Dubai Little League is a non-profit baseball and softball league run by volunteers, established in 1996 and based next to Al Quoz Pond Park. The season starts in mid to late October and runs to mid-March with a break in December. Most weeks bring one practice, on a weekday evening or a Saturday, with games on Sundays. Divisions go by age, from Tee Ball (3-5) through to Seniors (16-18) in baseball, plus Juniors (8-13) and Seniors (14-18) in softball. It is a developmental league that accepts players of every experience level; children attend an assessment at the end of September, then teams are drafted to keep them balanced, and siblings in the same division stay together unless you ask otherwise. The ground has five fields with lights, batting cages and changing rooms. Regular registration is AED 2,500 for Tee Ball and AED 3,985 for other divisions, uniform included. It is rated 4.5 on Google from 94 reviews.
The activity
Baseball & Softball, explained
Baseball and softball are bat-and-ball team games: kids learn to hit, throw, catch, field and run the bases, then put it together in real games with a team. The youngest usually begin with Tee Ball, hitting the ball off a stand rather than a pitch, which lets small children connect with the ball and learn the rules before moving up to pitched play. Softball uses a larger ball and a shorter distance between bases. Along the way children build hand-eye coordination, throwing and catching skills, and the habit of turning up for teammates week after week. At Dubai Little League, Tee Ball starts at age 3 and play runs as a season of weekly practices and Sunday games.
Who it's for
Boys and girls aged 3-18 of any experience level. Baseball (age as of 31 August 2026): Tee Ball 3-5, Pee Wee 6-8, Minors 9-11, Majors 12-13, Juniors 14-15, Seniors 16-18. Softball (age as of 1 January 2026): Juniors 8-13, Seniors 14-18. Final placement is based on age and skill, subject to player count and assessments.
What to expect
After registering, your child attends an assessment at the end of September so the league can place them in a division; some divisions also hold Open Days before the season. Teams are then drafted for balance. From mid to late October there is generally one practice a week (a weekday or Saturday) and games on Sundays, through to mid-March with a December break. The uniform (cap, jersey, pants, socks) is included in registration; each player brings their own baseball glove, and batting helmets and USA-stamped bats are also needed. There is no trial session mentioned on the site - ask the league about Open Days.
