Dreamers Football Academy (Dreamers FA) coaches young footballers at two Dubai bases, Al Garhoud and Meydan. The academy lists three programmes: Academy (U6/U8/U10), Youth (U12/U14/U15) and Elite (U16/U18). The coaching team page lists coaches holding UEFA B, UEFA C and AFC licences, including an AFC goalkeeping-certified coach and a coach with a child protection and safeguarding licence. The academy says it takes part in the DOFA League and aims to help players reach tryouts in France and Belgium and earn scholarships. Fees are published, and the timetable and monthly price differ by branch, so pick a branch on this page to see its sessions. Kit is a one-off AED 300, siblings get 10% off, and 3-, 6- and 10-month packages are 15% off. A free trial session can be booked on the website, and the team answers on WhatsApp.

The activity

Football, explained

Football training builds a child's fitness, coordination and confidence through running, passing, dribbling and small-sided games, alongside teamwork and listening to a coach. Groups are usually set by age band, written as U6, U8, U10 and so on (under 6, under 8, under 10). The youngest groups keep things playful, with lots of ball touches and simple games, while older groups add positions, tactics and matches against other teams. Children train in kit and football boots, often two or three evenings a week, and many parents start with a trial session to see whether their child enjoys it.

Who it's for

Children in age groups from U6 upwards: the academy lists Academy (U6/U8/U10), Youth (U12/U14/U15) and Elite (U16/U18) programmes. Garhoud runs U6/U8, U10/U12 and U14/U16 groups; Meydan lists U6 to U16 in one slot. You give your child's age group and level when booking a trial.

What to expect

Start with the free trial session: fill in the form on the website with your child's age group and level, and the academy gets back to you. The form has no branch box, so say which branch you want. Garhoud trains Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings; Meydan trains Monday and Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:00pm (times per group are in the branch notes). Once your child joins, the mandatory kit (2 shirts, 2 shorts, 2 socks) is a one-off AED 300, and fees are paid at the start of each month. What to bring to the trial and the exact pitch address are not on the website: ask the academy on WhatsApp when you book.
