How much do classes cost?

A term of 12 classes is AED 2,100 per child, or a single class is AED 195, both exclusive of VAT. A Welcome Pack for new students is AED 120, and sibling, homeschooler and multi-module discounts are available.

How are classes structured?

Children sign up for a term that follows the school calendar and attend one 50-minute class a week, in groups of up to 12. Parents don't stay in the class.

Can my child try a class first?

No free trial is published. A single class can be booked for AED 195 via 'Casual Enrolment' on the registration portal - ask the provider about trying before committing to a term.

Does Curiosity Lab run holiday camps?

Yes. Its next camp runs over the October half-term, with children split into similarly aged groups. Full-week bookings open first; camp prices are on the registration portal.

How much is a science birthday party?

AED 4,000 for up to 15 children or AED 5,500 for 16 to 25, excl. VAT. It includes 2 hours of private use of the lab, a 1.5-hour science show (ages 6 & up) and meals from 800 Pizza.

Curiosity Lab is a hands-on science centre inside Just Play Sports Complex in Al Quoz, founded in 2015 by Moheb Nabeel, a mechanical engineer who grew up in Dubai. Its weekly classes are called Modules, and each follows one science theme - this autumn's options are Beneath the Waves, Across the Galaxy and Periodic Pioneers. Children are grouped into three levels: Wonder (ages 4 & 5), Explore (ages 6 to 8) and Reason (ages 9+). Classes are 50 minutes, with a maximum of 12 students. A term is AED 2,100 per child, or AED 195 for a single class (both exclusive of VAT), with sibling and homeschooler discounts. Outside term time it runs holiday science camps - the next is during the October half-term - and it also hosts private science birthday parties and runs shows and workshops for schools and events.

The activity

Science Club, explained

Hands-on science classes swap textbooks for experiments. Children mix, build, test and observe, then talk about what happened and why. Younger children mostly play with phenomena that spark questions - things that fizz, float, glow or change colour - while older ones start designing their own tests and checking predictions against results. Along the way it builds curiosity, careful observation, patience and the habit of asking 'how do we know?'. Groups are usually split by age, and lab coats and safety glasses are part of the fun. Many children start around age 4, once they can follow simple instructions in a small group.

Who it's for

Children aged 4 and up, in three levels: Wonder (ages 4 & 5), Explore (ages 6 to 8) and Reason (ages 9+). Weekday morning sessions carry a 20% homeschooler discount. The birthday science show is suitable for ages 6 & up.

What to expect

Children sign up for a term - Autumn 2026 runs 7 September to 11 December with 12 sessions - and come once a week at the session that suits them. Classes last 50 minutes, with 2 to 12 students, and parents and guardians are not allowed in the class. New students can buy a Welcome Pack (bag, PPE and lab coat) for AED 120. No free trial is published, but a single class can be booked for AED 195 by choosing 'Casual Enrolment' in the online registration portal. Joining mid-term gets a prorated term fee.
