Coach Sveta Rhythmic Gymnastics Club Dubai trains girls aged 3 to 16 in rhythmic gymnastics, from first-timers through to competitive level. The main branch is at GEMS Al Barsha National School in Al Barsha South, with newer locations in Downtown Dubai, Arabian Ranches, Arabian Ranches 2 and Damac Hills 2. Girls follow a structured development path: a rhythmic gymnastics foundation (flexibility, coordination, balance and apparatus handling), then ballet for gymnasts, dance and artistry, and fitness and physical preparation as they progress. Groups are formed by age, experience, skill level and physical ability, so a trial class or short assessment comes first and the coaches then recommend a group. Classes run on weekday afternoons and evenings and on Saturdays, and fees are published per term, from AED 1,545 for one hour a week over 12 weeks. Gymnasts have the chance to take part in local competitions and selected international events.

The activity

Gymnastics, explained

Rhythmic gymnastics combines dance, flexibility and apparatus work - rope, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon - into choreographed routines. Girls develop balance, coordination, core strength and grace, starting with basic body movements and simple apparatus handling before progressing to more complex skills and competition routines. Training also builds discipline and musicality, since routines are performed to music and judged on artistry as well as technique. It typically starts young, with training groups arranged by age and ability so beginners and competitive athletes train separately, and many clubs run both recreational and competitive tracks side by side.

Who it's for

Girls aged 3 to 16, from complete beginners to competitive-level athletes, placed into groups by age, experience, skill level and physical ability.

What to expect

Start by booking a trial class or an assessment session: the trial lets your daughter experience the training environment and meet the coaches, and parents may watch this first trial only - after that, parents are asked to stay out of the training hall. The assessment is a short session of flexibility, coordination, strength and simple gymnastics skills, after which the coaches recommend a group and you choose a term package. Term 1 runs 31 August to 13 December (15 weeks); 2-3 December 2026 are public holidays and not charged. Ask the provider what she should wear to her first class.
