Classique Attitude Ballet Dubai is a classical ballet school in Studio 602 on the 6th floor of DAMAC Smart Heights, Barsha Heights. It is run by its founder and teacher, Domitille Ledouble, a French state-qualified ballet teacher who won a gold medal in classical dance at the Toulon Conservatoire and spent two years in the corps de ballet of the Toulon Opera. She founded Classique Attitude in Aix-en-Provence in 2010 and later brought the school to Dubai. Children and teenagers from 4 to 17 are taught in four age-based classes - Adagio (4-6), Mélodie (6-8), Arpège (8-11) and Symphony (12-17) - each with its own one-hour slots in the weekly timetable, mostly after school plus a Saturday-morning Mélodie class. Term and yearly fees are published on the school's website, and you can book a free trial lesson by phone or through the contact form. There are adult classes too, so parents can dance as well. The activity

Ballet, explained

Ballet classes teach children posture, balance, coordination and musicality through classical positions and movement, building from simple exercises at the barre to steps in the centre of the room and short sequences set to music. Classes are grouped by age, so the youngest children explore movement, rhythm and space through play, while older students learn exact positions, terminology and, later, pointe work. Ballet builds strength, flexibility and body awareness alongside concentration and perseverance. Many children start at around 3 or 4; at this school the youngest class begins at 4.

Who it's for

Children and teenagers aged 4-17, in four age-based classes: Adagio (4-6 years, discovery), Mélodie (6-8 years, beginners), Arpège (8-11 years, children) and Symphony (12-17 years, adolescents). The school says it also prepares students for auditions and applications to conservatoires and higher education, and it runs adult classes, including for beginners.

What to expect

Start with the free trial lesson: call Domitille on +971 50 518 3199 or fill in the form on the website, and families who trial get priority when they register. Classes last an hour. The youngest group, Adagio, works on discovering the different parts of the body, weight and space, listening to music and sharing the room with others. From Arpège (8-11) the work becomes technical: exact positions at the barre and in the centre, adagio and allegro, and pointe work, while building strength and stamina. The 2026/27 year runs from 1 September 2026 to 26 June 2027. Ask the provider about uniform, shoes and what to wear for the first lesson.
