Language Classes, explained

Tutoring gives a child extra lessons outside school hours in a subject they need help with or want to push further, such as maths, English, science or a language like French or Arabic. Good tutoring follows the child's own school curriculum (British, IB, American or Indian boards), so lessons line up with what is taught in class and tested in exams. Live online tutoring happens in a video classroom: tutor and child talk, write and share work on screen in real time. One-to-one lessons move at the child's pace, while small groups add some peer energy. Families often start in the early primary years to build reading and number confidence.

Who it's for

Children from Grade 1 to Grade 12, including a programme for Grades 1-3 focused on reading, writing and basic maths, and exam preparation for IGCSE, AS/A-Level, IB, CBSE, ICSE/ISC and the American curriculum. Lessons are online, so your child needs to be able to join a video lesson from home.

What to expect

Lessons happen live online, so your child joins from home. The provider says all they need is a laptop or tablet, a stable internet connection, a webcam and a quiet space. Classes run on Merithub, with other digital tools used for resources, assignments and feedback. You can start with a free trial class; the terms describe the free demo as a half-hour session for student and tutor to get to know each other. Maths lessons are listed as one hour, after school between 3pm and 7pm. Progress is tracked through assignments, quizzes, tests and feedback sessions, and the team says it keeps parents informed.
