About BATTLEWORLD Al Quoz
BATTLEWORLD is a network of virtual reality parks, and its Al Quoz venue sits on the mezzanine floor of the Rawabeh Building in Industrial Area 1. It has a free-roam VR Arena where teams of 2 to 10 players move around a large space in wireless headsets, VR Stations with a library of 50+ games, an esports club with gaming PCs and a lounge zone. In school holidays BATTLEWORLD has run a day camp across its Dubai venues, including Al Quoz: VR arena games, esports, group challenges, and Minecraft, AI, robotics and LEGO workshops, in half-day or full-day blocks. The last one listed ran 10-28 August 2026, so ask when the next one runs. The rest of the time it works as a walk-in or booked play venue, and it hosts children's birthday parties with a private lounge area. The VR Arena and VR Stations are for ages 8 and up, and the arena also needs players to be at least 120 cm tall. Parents can play too: the venue says both children and adults enjoy the games.
The activity
Holiday Camps, explained
A VR gaming holiday camp mixes free-roam virtual reality games with hands-on workshops. Children wear wireless headsets and move around a large open arena as a team, so they are up and active rather than sitting at a screen. Around the games there are group challenges, esports, LEGO and board games, and Minecraft, AI and robotics sessions, which work on teamwork, taking turns, following instructions and staying calm under a little friendly pressure. Days are structured with a briefing, snack breaks and a set pick-up time. The arena here is 8+ with a 120 cm minimum height, and the camp page does not list a separate age band.
Who it's for
Children aged 8 and up for the VR Arena (minimum height 120 cm) and the VR Stations. Adults can play alongside children. The holiday camp page does not state an age band, so ask the provider which ages it takes.
What to expect
Arena games last 45 minutes for 2 to 10 players. Arrive at least 15 minutes early to fill in forms and hear the safety briefing; if you are late you still pay for the whole slot. Wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes (sportswear is suggested; no open shoes, heels or reflective clothing). Glasses are fine if under 140 mm wide and 48 mm high, though contact lenses are more comfortable. Staff stand by the arena throughout, and a player can raise a hand to get help straight away. Booking ahead is advised as headsets can be fully booked.
