The activity

Football, explained

Football coaching builds a child's ball control, movement, teamwork and fitness through drills and small-sided games that get more tactical as players grow. The youngest children work on first touches and simply enjoying running with a ball, often with a parent alongside them. From around six, sessions add ball mastery and the first taste of team play; older children move on to positional detail, decision-making and competitive league matches, and teenagers may add strength and conditioning. Along the way children learn to win and lose well, listen to a coach and play their part in a team - and many make close friends through their squad.

Who it's for

Boys and girls aged 3 to 17 in the 2026/27 timetable. Tiny Tacklers (U3-U5) is mixed, with one parent encouraged onto the pitch. Boys train in U6-U8, U9-U11, U12 & U13, U14 and U15-U17 groups; girls have their own U8-U12 Girls Academy group. Age groups follow a 1 September cutoff, and the club confirms the exact group at the trial.

What to expect

The first step is a free trial: book online, come down, train with the group and see if it fits. Sessions are outdoors in the evening, apart from two on Friday afternoons at JESS Ranches: the girls' session in the sports hall and Strength & Conditioning in the gym. Tiny Tacklers is an hour on Saturday mornings (08:00-09:00) with a parent on the pitch, and starts on Saturday 3 October. Kit is a one-off AED 450 on your first payment of the season (optional for Tiny Tacklers). Ask the provider what to bring to the trial.
