About Aspire Gymnastics
Aspire Gymnastics is a Dubai gymnastics club for boys and girls aged 3 to 18, with classes from recreational to competitive level. It runs from Nad Al Hamar, where artistic and rhythmic gymnastics are taught, and from Dubai Investment Park 2, where Aspire lists artistic gymnastics and a separate acrobatics, rhythmic and trampoline programme. Each branch has its own timetable with separate girls' and boys' groups: Starters for 3-4 year olds, Pre-Team or Beginner groups from 5, Pre-Team Advance or Recreational groups from 7, and invitation-only Team or Squad groups. Classes run in three terms a year, after school on weekdays and from 9am on Saturdays. New starters can join at any point in the year if there is space, and a trial class costs AED 65. The activity
Gymnastics, explained
Gymnastics builds strength, flexibility, balance and body awareness through structured moves on floor, bars, beam and vault, alongside acrobatics and trampoline work at some clubs. Younger children usually start with 'starter' or recreational classes that focus on basic shapes, rolls and coordination games, moving up through beginner and advanced levels as skills develop, with some kids progressing to team or competitive training. It's a good foundation sport for almost any other activity because it teaches kids to control and understand their own bodies.
Who it's for
Boys and girls aged 3 to 18, recreational to competitive. Groups run from Starter (3-4 years) through Pre-Team or Beginner (from 5) and Pre-Team Advance (7+) to invitation-only Team squads, with girls' and boys' timetables kept separate. Which disciplines are taught depends on the branch, and the DIP 2 timetable also lists baby gymnastics for ages 0-3.
What to expect
Register on the website to book a trial class (AED 65). Starter classes are an hour, and parents of 3-4 year olds stay during the session; other spectators wait in the designated area and come back 10 minutes before the end for pick-up. Girls wear a leotard with no skirt or frills, or a close-fitting top with shorts or leggings; boys wear comfortable shorts and a close-fitting top. No shoes, socks, buttons or zips, hair tied back and jewellery off. Bring a water bottle; snacks aren't allowed at the moment. Term fees are paid in full at registration, plus a non-refundable AED 100 yearly registration fee. Class days and times differ by branch and group, so check your branch's timetable.
