About Aquaventure World
Aquaventure World is the water park at Atlantis, The Palm, on the crescent of Palm Jumeirah. It bills itself as the world's largest water park, with more than 105 slides, attractions and experiences across 22.5 hectares, and it lists a 2022 Guinness World Record for the most waterslides in a water park. The thrill rides sit around three towers, Neptune, Poseidon and Trident, including Leap of Faith, a near-vertical drop through a tunnel in a shark lagoon. Younger children have four kids' zones of their own, the Splashers Lagoon, Cove, Island and Mountain, with small slides, tipping buckets and climbing frames. There is also a private beach, rivers and a wave rider. Inside the park, Atlas Village runs extra dolphin and sea lion experiences you can book, and a combo ticket adds the Lost World Aquarium. The park is open to all ages, but under-12s must be with an adult, and some rides need riders to be over 1.2 metres.
The activity
Water Parks, explained
Aquaventure World is a huge outdoor water park at Atlantis, The Palm. Families spend the day moving between big slides, lazy rivers, a wave rider, a private beach and dedicated kids' splash zones, with animal experiences on the side. Bigger rides are built around three towers, Neptune, Poseidon and Trident, and some are only open to riders over 1.2 metres. Smaller children head to the four Splashers zones, with shallow water, buckets that tip over, climbing frames and small slides; Splashers Island is designed for children under 1.2 metres. There is no minimum age for the park itself, but children under 12 must come with an adult. Plan for a full day.
Who it's for
Families with children of any age, teens and adults. The park is open to all ages, but some rides are only for guests over 1.2 m, and guests must be at least 12 to enter without an adult. Splashers Island is designed for children under 1.2 m tall. Atlas Village animal experiences have their own ages. The sea lion waist-deep experience is for ages 8 and up, and dry and waist-deep dolphin experiences are for all ages. Children under 12 on these experiences need a paying adult aged 18 or over taking part with them. The park describes itself as an IBCCES Certified Autism Center (2022), with sensory-friendly spaces and quiet areas.
What to expect
Drive along the Palm trunk to Crescent Road, go through the tunnel and turn right. Take the first roundabout right into the Aquaventure car park, where a free shuttle runs to the entrance. By taxi, you are dropped at The Avenues at Atlantis, then walk to the Aquaventure Ticketing Plaza. The tickets page (June 2026) says online tickets come with a QR code so you can skip the ticket queue. Towels and lockers are paid add-ons, either online or at the plaza. Aquaband wristbands are used for entry, lockers and cashless payments inside the park. Swimwear rules allow one-piece, two-piece, rash guards, board shorts and burkinis. Arrive early, as there is usually a wait.
