About AquaFun Dubai Water Park

AquaFun is a floating inflatable water park in the sea off JBR Beach, opposite The Beach, with Dubai Marina and the JBR towers as the backdrop. The park describes itself as the world's largest inflatable water park, with more than 150 obstacles spread over 42,000 m² of water, and lists a 2022 Guinness World Record on its site. Kids and grown-ups climb, bounce and slide their way around the course, then rest on the platforms or swim back to shore. It suits confident swimmers aged 6 and up who are at least 110 cm tall, and children aged 6 to 12 have to be with an adult, so it works best as a family outing where a parent joins in. A day pass covers unlimited play and re-entry for the whole day, plus a life jacket, non-slip socks, a waterproof phone case and a safety briefing. AquaFun also runs birthday parties, school group visits and corporate events.

The activity

Water Parks, explained

An inflatable water park is a giant floating playground anchored in the sea. Instead of concrete slides and pools, kids climb, bounce, balance and slide across air-filled obstacles, then drop into the water and scramble back up. Everyone wears a life jacket, and lifeguards watch from the course. Running across wobbly platforms and climbing back out of the water builds balance, grip strength and confidence in open water. Because you land in the sea rather than a shallow pool, parks like this set a minimum age and height and ask for basic swimming skills. At AquaFun that is 6 years and 110 cm.

Who it's for

Children aged 6 and over who are at least 110 cm tall and have basic swimming skills; there is no upper age limit, so parents and teens play too. Children aged 6 to 12 must be with an adult (the tickets page says children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult). Not suitable for under-6s or non-swimmers. School groups, birthday parties and corporate groups can be booked separately.

What to expect

Arrive at the AquaFun counter on JBR Beach with your ticket, then collect a life jacket, non-slip socks and a waterproof phone case. Life jackets and non-slip socks must be worn at all times inside the park. After the safety briefing you reach the park either by swimming about 15 metres from the beach in your life jacket, or by the AquaFun boat (AED 100 per person, round trip). Lifeguards supervise the course. Your day pass lets you leave and come back as often as you like that day, handy when kids need a shade or snack break. Bring swimwear, a towel and SPF 30+ sunscreen.
