About Aquasprint Academy and Sports Club

Aquasprint Academy and Sports Club is a swimming academy at The Sustainable City in Dubai, built around a pool designed for accessibility, with ramps, handrails, special wheelchairs, wide entrances and non-slip surfaces. For children there are three programmes: Baby & Toddler (6 months to 3 years), Kids (4 to 14) and Special Needs (4 to 14), where coaches focus on building trust and water familiarity and adapt lessons to each child. Every programme runs over 8 levels of 8 classes, with a certificate after each completed level, and swimmers aiming to compete can move on to the advanced A5 and A6 levels, which include internal competitions. Lessons are offered as group or private classes. The coaches are ASCA certified and the academy says it follows Swimming Teachers' Association (STA) standards; the coaches page names Laith, who set up Aquasprint, with Aahd and Zaid. There are adult classes and ladies-only aqua fitness for parents too. Aquasprint is rated 5.0 on Google from 31 reviews, and you can book a free trial first.

The activity

Swimming, explained

Swimming lessons teach children water confidence and safety first, then the strokes - front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly - along with starts, turns and breath control. Babies and toddlers usually start with a parent in the water, getting used to splashing, floating and going under, while older beginners work on kicking, blowing bubbles and swimming unaided. Children then progress through levels towards independent, technically correct swimming. Regular lessons build strength, coordination and stamina, teach skills that reduce the risk of drowning, and can lead on to squad or competitive swimming for children who want more.

Who it's for

Babies and toddlers from 6 months to 3 years (Baby & Toddler programme), children aged 4 to 14 (Kids programme) and children aged 4 to 14 with special needs (Special Needs programme), from beginners to advanced and competition-level swimmers. Adults and teens 14+ have their own classes, plus ladies-only aqua fitness.

What to expect

Start by booking a free trial on the website, which is then confirmed by email; after that you choose a programme and pay a monthly fee. Each programme has 8 levels of 8 classes, and swimmers receive a certificate after completing each level. The Kids programme (4-14) runs as group or private classes: group packages of 1, 4 or 8 classes or 3-month terms of 10 or 24 sessions, and private packages of 1, 4 or 10 sessions or a 3-month term. Baby & Toddler lessons are private packages of 1, 4 or 10 sessions or a 3-month term. For the Special Needs programme, ask the provider about class formats. Prices and class times aren't published on the website - ask the provider.
