The Greens

Angelina.Kartina Drawing School is an art studio in The Greens, Dubai, taught by Angelina, who shares her own work and her students' work on Instagram as @angelina.kartina. Her bio reads "I'll teach you how to draw", and the account has lessons for children and adults. In a September 2025 post she showed a week of finished pieces made with children, who had tried different paper sizes and several watercolour techniques. Saved story collections called "young artists" and "children art's 2" show children holding their finished paintings, and an April 2026 post about drawing with acrylic markers on black paper ends with "Welcome to my class". Watercolour comes up again and again in her posts. Ages, prices and lesson times are not published on her Instagram or Google listing, so a call or message to the number on Google is the way to ask whether there is a slot that suits your child. On Google, the studio is rated 5.0 from 7 reviews, all of them five stars.

The activity

Drawing, explained

Drawing lessons teach students how to look closely, sketch and build a picture step by step, covering pencil work, colour and composition. Beginners usually start with simple shapes and everyday objects, then move on to still life, portraits or their own creative themes as their control improves. For children, drawing builds patience, fine motor skills and confidence in their own ideas, and it needs very little kit to get going: paper, pencils and colours. Groups are often small, so a teacher can guide each student at their own pace; ask any school which ages it takes before booking.

Who it's for

Children and adults. Her Instagram highlights include "young artists" and "children art's 2" collections of children's work, next to an "adult's arts" collection. No age range is published, so ask which ages she teaches and whether lessons are in a small group or one to one.

What to expect

No class outline, materials list or trial policy is published, so ask the provider before the first lesson. Her posts give a feel for the teaching. In September 2025 she wrote that the children had worked on different paper sizes and tried several watercolour techniques, and that she would use one of her own paintings to teach warm and cool colours. In April 2026 she shared a sketch made with acrylic markers on black paper and invited followers to try it in her class. Her other recent posts show watercolour, watercolour markers and coloured pencils.
