The activity

Tuition Centre, explained

A tuition centre gives school-age children extra teaching outside the school day, usually in small groups or one-to-one. Children work through the same subjects and syllabus they follow at school - maths, sciences, English and languages - going over topics they found hard, practising with worksheets and past papers, and getting ready for tests and exams. Done well, it builds confidence, study habits and the ability to ask for help. Most centres take children from the early primary years, and many families start when a child begins to struggle with one subject or when big exams come into view.

Who it's for

School students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 on CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE, A level, O level, IB, IBDP or Kerala Board syllabuses. Much of the wider programme is exam coaching for older teenagers and adults (JEE, NEET, NDA, SAT, GRE, GMAT, IELTS and similar). Nothing is published on special educational needs support - ask the provider.

What to expect

The centre says it works in an online-offline hybrid format, so ask whether your child's classes would be in person in Mankhool, online, or a mix. Its site promises individual attention, and its own 2023 flyers offered a choice of small batch or 1:1 sessions and a free trial class - check whether a trial is still offered today. Group sizes, lesson length, what to bring and the current timetable are not published, so ask the provider when you message them.
