About Amourion Training Institute
Amourion Training Institute is a training centre in Dubai with its main office on Sheikh Zayed Road, a short walk from Emirates Towers Metro Station. It also runs two sister tutoring brands: Tutors.ae at the same Sheikh Zayed Road tower, and IB Scholars at SIT Tower in Dubai Silicon Oasis. Much of what Amourion teaches is for adults: English-test prep such as IELTS and PTE, graduate exams like GMAT and GRE, languages, and corporate, IT and finance courses. For families, the relevant part is tutoring for school students. The site lists IB-MYP support for ages 11-16, IGCSE (aimed at 14 to 16 year olds) and AS/A Level for ages 16-19, with an IGCSE subject list that runs from maths, physics and chemistry to economics and business, plus IBDP maths and physics tutoring. It also lists SAT, AP, ACT and EmSAT preparation for high schoolers. IB Scholars lists PYP, MYP and IBDP tutoring. The institute says it is accredited by KHDA and offers individual and group classes at flexible times, on weekdays and weekends.
The activity
Tuition Centre, explained
Tuition centres give school students extra teaching outside the classroom, usually in small groups or one to one. For secondary pupils the focus is often a specific exam: working through the syllabus topic by topic, practising past papers, and sitting timed mock tests so the real exam feels familiar. Good tuition builds exam technique, fills gaps a busy class may skip, and gives a teenager a place to ask questions without an audience. Programme support such as the IB Middle Years Programme covers roughly ages 11 to 16, while exam courses like IGCSE, A Level or SAT prep follow from about 14, once students are working towards those qualifications.
Who it's for
School students on IB, IGCSE or A Level routes: IB-MYP for ages 11-16, IGCSE for 14 to 16 year olds and AS/A Level for ages 16-19, plus IBDP maths and physics tutoring. High schoolers preparing for the SAT, AP, ACT or EmSAT, or for university applications abroad; the SAT course is open to students from any curriculum (IB, A/AS, IGCSE, MYP, ICSE, CBSE). IB Scholars also lists PYP (primary) tutoring support; ask it which year groups it takes. Most of Amourion's other courses are aimed at adults.
What to expect
You can walk in at the Sheikh Zayed Road office, meet the tutors, choose a course and fill in the application form, or register online. For IGCSE and A Level students, the institute lists 10 years of past papers, a question bank, study material and extended worksheets. A June 2026 post on its blog describes AS and A Level maths, physics and chemistry tutoring with Dr Anil Khare, matched to the student's exam board (Cambridge, Edexcel or AQA). The FAQ says course materials, question papers, mock tests and certificates are provided. There is a free consultation sign-up on the site, and IB Scholars arranges an initial consultation by phone or email. Whether a trial lesson is offered: ask the provider.
