About Alliance Football Club

Alliance Football Club was founded in Dubai in 2015 by Mehran Rowshan, a UEFA B licensed coach who, the club says, leads it directly and coaches most days. It trains boys and girls from a mixed Under-7 group up to Under-18, at GEMS World Academy in Al Barsha South, on weekday evenings between 5:30 and 8:30pm. Most groups train two or three times a week in 90-minute sessions, and girls have their own teams at every age from Under-9. Players can compete in the DOFA and YFL domestic leagues, and the club runs international trips, including a Madrid trip in April 2027. Goalkeepers get specialist sessions every weekday, and every player has access to the club's strength and conditioning programme. Parents get formal player reviews three times a season and a written development plan each term. The 2026/27 fees, term dates and timetable are all on the club's website, and every new player starts with a free trial.

The activity

Football, explained

Club football for children means training with the same age group every week and playing matches against other clubs. Players work on first touch, passing, dribbling and shooting, then learn how a team keeps its shape, presses and moves the ball. Sessions usually mix a technical warm-up, game-like drills and small-sided games, so children get plenty of touches. Alongside skill, football builds fitness, coordination, confidence and the habit of listening to a coach and playing for teammates. Many children start at about five or six, in mixed groups where the focus is fun and ball skills, and move into boys' or girls' teams and league matches as they grow.

Who it's for

Boys and girls from a mixed Under-7 group (born 2019-2020) to Under-18 (born 2008-2009), per the club's 2026/27 training schedule. The club's home page says ages 5 to 18, and its trial page and FAQ say 6 to 18, so for a child born in 2021 or later, ask the club. Complete beginners and experienced players are both welcome after a trial. Members must live in Dubai. Special-needs support: ask the provider.

What to expect

Every new player starts with a trial, booked on the club's website. The FAQ describes it as a free 60-minute session training with their age group, and says a second trial is sometimes requested. Bring your child's Emirates ID or passport (a digital copy is fine), plenty of water, football boots, sports clothes and shin guards, plus sports goggles if needed; no jewellery. Within 24 hours you get a Player Evaluation with feedback and details of how to register through the club's online portal. Regular sessions are 90 minutes (75 for Mixed U7), with a technical warm-up, game-realistic practices, conditioning games, a cool-down and a debrief.
