About Xstrike
Xstrike is an indoor combat simulation venue on 6A Street in Al Quoz Industrial Area 1, just after the Al Manara exit on Sheikh Zayed Road. It uses infrared laser replicas of rifles, pistols and even foam grenades, with recoil and sound effects, so nothing is fired. Two teams play missions such as Elimination, Espionage, Supply Grab and Juggernaut on the Havoc City battlefield, a multi-floor set of ruined streets, rooms and corridors. Each session runs about 60 minutes including the briefing, and all kit is supplied. Children can play from age 5 and 110cm on the Combat Simulation equipment, and players under 10 can use the tactical equipment line on the same fields and missions. Under-18s must be supervised by a responsible adult. Public sessions mix you with other booked players, and teams are picked by the system; private sessions let you set the teams. Scores go to an online leaderboard called the Barracks. The XCafe on site serves food, Starbucks coffee and Freedom Pizza.
The activity
Trampoline & Adventure Parks, explained
Xstrike is indoor combat simulation: think laser tag with a harder edge, which the venue describes as a middle ground between laser tag and paintball. Nothing is fired. Players carry replica rifles and pistols that use infrared lasers, with recoil, noise and light effects, and wear a vest and headband covered in sensors. Two teams play timed missions such as Elimination, Supply Grab, Domination and Hells Bells across multi-floor sets full of rooms, corridors and props. A session lasts about 60 minutes including a briefing. Children need to be 5 or older and at least 110cm tall for the Combat Simulation equipment. It is fast, noisy teamwork, so it suits children who like running, hiding and working out a plan.
Who it's for
Children aged 5 and over who are at least 110cm tall can play with the Combat Simulation equipment. Players under 10 can use the tactical equipment line instead and still play the same fields and missions. Under-18s must be supervised by a responsible adult. The venue describes the game as safe for all ages because it uses non-projectile technology. It suits families, groups of friends and birthday parties; a Recruit Session is listed as an easy game mode for new players.
What to expect
Book a timed session online at book.xstrike.com or call 800XSTRIKE (800 9787453, UAE toll-free). Each session is about 60 minutes, starting with a briefing in which the team explains everything you need. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in and closed shoes: trainers or boots are preferred, and sandals, open-toe shoes and high heels are not allowed. Xstrike supplies the weapon, vest and headband. In a public session you play alongside other booked players and the system splits everyone into two balanced teams; the venue cannot promise other players will join, so call ahead if that matters. Bookings cannot be cancelled but can be rescheduled free up to 72 hours before the game. Outside food and drinks are not allowed.
