Trial class

Ultra Football Academy Dubai runs football training for children aged 4 to 15 at GEMS International School Dubai Hills, on Al Khail Road. Sessions are split by age, from a 4 to 7 group up to 13 to 15s, on weekday evenings between 5:30 and 8PM, and the academy describes them as age-specific sessions with professional coaching. Players also get match football: the academy is in the Equiti Youth Football League for the 2026-27 season, and its teams play weekend games from under-7 to under-15 level. It trains at two more schools too, GEMS Founders School in Al Barsha South and GEMS Wellington Academy in Silicon Oasis, where it runs an Ultra Girls Team. The activity

Football, explained

Football training for kids builds ball control, passing, shooting and an early feel for teamwork and tactics through drills, small-sided games and, as players grow, proper matches. Sessions are usually split by age, mixing skill work with fitness and fun, and most academies welcome complete beginners as well as children who already play for a school team. The youngest groups often start at around four, then players move up through age bands into more structured training and league or tournament football. Boots, shin pads and a water bottle are usually all a child needs to start, and balls and bibs are normally provided.

Who it's for

Children aged 4 to 15. At Dubai Hills the timetable puts them in age groups: 4 to 7, 8 to 9, 8 to 12, 10 to 12 and 13 to 15. The academy runs an Ultra Girls Team at its Silicon Oasis venue; ask whether girls train in the Dubai Hills groups, and which level of group suits your child.

What to expect

Start with a trial session: the academy asks families to message it on Instagram to book one, and its Instagram also links to WhatsApp. Training is grouped by age, so your child joins players of a similar age. The 4 to 7s train on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30PM, and older groups run until 6:45 or 8PM. The academy says its sessions build technique, confidence and teamwork through structured, repeated practice, and its teams play league matches at weekends. Ask what kit to bring, whether the trial is free and what the fees are.
