About UAE Skiers Academy

UAE Skiers Academy is the training side of UAE Skiers, a ski team started in February 2012 by five Emirati skiers. In May 2019 the team set up Seven Skiers Sports Services, which the site says is licensed by Dubai Economic Department and the Youth and Sport authority and recognised by the UAE Ice Federation. Its base is listed on the ground floor of Mall of the Emirates. The academy runs ski training camps for children: in summer 2026 it reported more than 70 boys and girls taking part, held a graduation for those who finished the basic stage, and said regular training would resume in the first school term as students move on to advanced stages. Its booking form takes requests for skiing or snowboarding, private or group, at five levels from Discovery and Beginner up to Level 3. The team also runs competitions and ski trips abroad. It's rated 4.6 on Google from 7 reviews.

The activity

Skiing, explained

Indoor skiing in Dubai happens on real snow at Ski Dubai, inside Mall of the Emirates, so children can learn to ski or snowboard year-round without leaving the city. Beginners start on gentle terrain, working on balance, the snowplough stop and simple turns, then move on to steeper runs and longer lifts as their confidence grows. Lessons are usually graded by level, from a first taste of the snow up to linked turns, and can be private or in a small group. Skiing builds balance, leg strength, coordination and confidence. Starting ages vary between schools, so always check the youngest age a provider takes before booking.

Who it's for

Children and teenagers in the academy's ski training camps, which it describes as for boys and girls, plus skiers and snowboarders booking private or group lessons at five levels (Discovery, Beginner, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3). A camp page on the site, last updated in 2023, says children can join from age 5, under-5s are not allowed in the academy, and groups are split by age stage. Confirm the current starting age with the provider.

What to expect

You request a lesson through the booking form on the website: choose skiing or snowboard, private or group, your level and the date of your visit. The form asks for the full name as on the Emirates ID and the Emirates ID number, and the team replies with availability and payment details. On the site's 2023 camp page, a camp is five 90-minute sessions, the academy provides ski clothes, boots and skis for members in a designated area, and the fee includes a medal, a graduation ceremony and professional photos. Ask the provider how this season's camps and lessons run and whether a trial is possible.
