About Tiger Karate Martial Arts Club
Tiger Karate & Martial Arts Club is a dojo on 28B Street in Al Warqa 1, near International Academic School, teaching karate, kick boxing and kung fu to kids, teens and adults. Karate is the club's core discipline, and it is open to everyone aged 4 and above, with separate batches for each age group so training matches a child's level. The club is led by Renshi Hamza, who holds a 5th Dan black belt in Shotokan Karate, a 4th Dan in Kung Fu and a 1st Dan in Shitoryu, and has more than 30 years in martial arts. New students can come for a free trial day: train for a day, meet the masters, then decide, with no commitment and no forms. Complete beginners are welcome, belt gradings run every 3 to 4 months, and private or small-group sessions are available for children who want extra focus or are preparing for gradings and competitions. The club is rated 4.7 on Google from 36 reviews.
The activity
Martial Arts, explained
Karate builds discipline, coordination and confidence through structured drills, forms (kata) and controlled sparring, with children moving up through coloured belts as their skills develop. Tiger Karate also teaches kick boxing and kung fu, so a child can try more than one striking discipline in the same dojo. Beginners need no experience: instructors start with the very first stance, block and kick and build from there. The club takes students from age 4, and belt gradings are held every 3 to 4 months, which gives kids a clear, regular sense of progress. It suits children who want a physical activity that also asks for focus and respect.
Who it's for
Everyone aged 4 and above - kids, teens, adults and seniors - with dedicated batches for each age group. No prior martial arts experience is needed; most students start as complete beginners. Private and small-group sessions are offered for students wanting focused attention or preparing for gradings and competitions.
What to expect
Start with a free trial day: your child trains for a day, experiences the dojo and meets the masters before you decide, with no commitment and no forms. Book the slot by WhatsApp or phone on +971569642607. For the first class, a t-shirt and track pants are fine; a karate gi (uniform) isn't needed until your child decides to continue, and the club helps you get the right one. Instructors start beginners from the first stance, block and kick. Kids' classes use age-appropriate techniques and protective gear. Batch times for each age group and fees are not listed on the website - ask the provider.
