The main draw is a Jurassic-themed laser tag arena of more than 3,000 square feet, with volcanic rock and jungle scenery, UV lights, fog and music. Each player wears a vest with light sensors and carries a laser blaster that fires a harmless beam of infrared light, so there are no pellets, no paint and no bruises. Teams move through the arena, take cover, tag opponents and try to reach the other side's base, with every hit scored automatically. A round is short and fast, which suits children who love running about, and it builds teamwork, quick decisions and communication. Each centre sets its own minimum age or height for the kit; at Thrill Zone activities are for ages six and up, with younger children allowed depending on height.
