Gymnastics, explained

Gymnastics for young children builds strength, balance, coordination and confidence through age-graded movement, tumbling and apparatus work. The youngest classes are usually parent-and-child sessions, where a caregiver joins a baby or toddler on the mats for songs, simple tumbling and play with balls and other small equipment. From around three, children move into independent pre-school classes that add more structure, listening and following directions, and school-age classes then follow clearer skill progressions from beginner to advanced. There is no need for any experience: children start at the level that fits their age and move up as their skills grow.

Who it's for

Babies and toddlers with a parent in parent/child classes (4 months to 3 years at both branches; Festival Plaza also runs Tummy Timers from newborn to 4 months); 3-6 year olds in Pre-K Gymnastics; 6-12 year olds in Grade School Gymnastics; 3-12 year olds for dance.
