The Block at d3

The Block is a free outdoor urban beach park on the d3 Waterfront in Dubai Design District, with a concrete skatepark, open-air basketball and volleyball courts, climbing walls and a sandy urban beach. Kids can scoot or skate the ramps, rails and bowl of the skatepark, built from recycled concrete blocks, shoot hoops on the bright painted courts, then dig in the sand with the Downtown skyline in view. Colourful stacked blocks make shady corners for parents to sit, and the cafes of d3 are a few minutes' walk away. Entry is free, and Google lists it open from 9am to 10pm.
