Proper Choice Training Institute is a KHDA-licensed tuition and exam-prep centre in Office 317 of the Al Mozna Building, near Al Nahda Metro Station on the Al Qusais side of Dubai. For school-age students it offers Grade 7 to Grade 12 tuition in English, maths, science, geography, French and Arabic, plus subject coaching for IGCSE, A Level, AS Level, International A Level, IB and AP. It also prepares students for admission tests such as the SAT, ACT and EmSAT. Teenagers can choose small-batch group classes or private one-to-one coaching, online or in person, with weekday, evening and weekend batches built around school hours. Courses centre on past papers and timed mock tests, with feedback after each attempt, and the institute says study material is included. Parents can message the team on WhatsApp for class updates. Much of the course list is aimed at adults, including IELTS, GMAT and GRE, and the language courses serve students and adults alike, so this is a place for secondary-school students rather than younger children.

Exam Prep, explained

Exam prep and tuition classes help secondary-school students get ready for a specific test, such as IGCSE, A Level, SAT or EmSAT. Rather than learning new topics from scratch, students work through past papers and timed mock tests. A tutor then goes through their answers with them, explains the mark scheme and helps them find the topics where they lose marks. Along the way they build exam technique, time management and the confidence to stay calm on the day. It suits secondary-school students, typically in the year or two before a big exam, and is usually offered as group or one-to-one classes.

Who it's for

Secondary-school students: the institute lists Grade 7 to Grade 12 school tuition (English, maths, science, geography, French and Arabic) and exam courses for IGCSE, A Level, AS Level, IAL, IB (Diploma and MYP), AP, SAT, ACT and EmSAT. It does not publish age limits. Its IELTS, GMAT, GRE, OET, PTE and language courses are aimed mainly at adults and professionals. Ask the provider about support for special educational needs.

What to expect

The institute offers a free demo class, and its SAT page also offers a free assessment. The process starts with a free consultation. Next comes a diagnostic or placement test to find your child's level and weak areas, and then a choice of group, one-to-one or online classes on a timeline set by the exam date. Classes mix structured lessons with timed practice, past papers and mock tests, with feedback after each attempt. The institute says books, practice sets and worksheets are included. Ask the provider about class length, batch size, what to bring and fees.
