Prep Up Learning Centre, Dubai Silicon Oasis
About Prep Up Learning Centre
Prep Up is a KHDA-approved learning centre founded in Dubai in 2023, with two branches: Dubai Silicon Oasis (Donna Towers) and Mirdif 35. It works with children and teenagers from primary school through high school. Both branch pages list the same nine courses: Numbers Unlocked (maths), Write Away (English), Understanding Einstein (physics), Under the Microscope (biology), Atoms and Beyond (chemistry), Alif (Arabic with Islamic values and culture), SAT Mathematics, SAT Reading and Writing, and IELTS Training. What sets it apart is the size of each session: no more than two students per teacher, with one-to-one sessions available at extra cost. Every new student starts with a free in-person assessment and a conversation with the family, then gets a learning plan built around what they need next. Parents receive regular updates on what has improved, what still needs work and what comes next. Fees and class times are not published; the branch agrees a schedule with each family.
The activity
Exam Prep, explained
Tutoring and exam preparation give a child focused time with a teacher outside the school day. At a small tuition centre, children usually start with a short assessment so the teacher can see what they already understand and where they get stuck, then work through a plan built around those gaps. Sessions mix explanation, worked examples and guided practice, and many centres send parents regular progress notes. Younger children often come for reading, writing or number confidence; teenagers come for school science and maths or for tests such as the SAT and IELTS. It builds understanding, study habits and the confidence to ask questions. Many families start in the primary years, but children can join whenever they need support.
Who it's for
Children and teenagers from primary school through high school. Courses cover maths, English, physics, biology, chemistry and Arabic, plus Digital SAT and IELTS preparation for older students. The team advises whether a programme suits your child's age and goals. Support for special educational needs is not described on the site; ask the branch you pick.
What to expect
The first step is a free, in-person initial assessment. A Prep Up teacher looks at what your child already understands and where they need help, then explains the findings and recommends a programme and learning plan. The branch then agrees a suitable schedule with you. Assessment length depends on your child's age and starting point and is confirmed when you book. In a maths session, for example, the teacher may use objects, diagrams or a worked example to show an idea, check understanding with guided questions, then have your child solve a problem independently and explain their reasoning. SAT students also sit full-length digital mock tests through the centre's online portal. Fees: ask the branch you pick.
