About Music Factory Fine Arts Training
Music Factory Fine Arts Training is the Dubai branch of Music Factory, a music school that also runs a branch in Lebanon. It sits in the retail units of Azizi Riviera 7 in Nad Al Sheba, and it is rated 5.0 on Google from 21 reviews. The Dubai site lists singing, piano, drums, bass, guitar, violin, darbuka, dancing and DJing, sold as packages of private lessons. Singing packages are also offered with Marc Hatem, the school's founder. Children can start singing, piano, drums or dancing from age 4, and guitar, bass, violin, darbuka or DJing from age 7. The approach starts with songs the student picks, across styles such as pop, rock, jazz, funk and oriental, instead of exercises first. Lessons are filmed so children can practise at home by watching their own lesson, and students can perform at live concerts during the year. Prices are published: a 4-lesson singing or instrument starter package is 990 AED. Free music videos and studio recordings come with the 13-lesson packages and up.
The activity
Music Lessons, explained
Music lessons introduce children to an instrument, singing or dance through one-to-one or small-group tuition, usually starting with rhythm, listening and simple songs before moving on to technique and reading music. Regular lessons build coordination, concentration, memory and the confidence to perform in front of others. Many children start singing, piano or drums from around four or five, while larger instruments such as guitar or violin often wait until hands are big enough. Short, regular practice at home between lessons makes the biggest difference to progress.
Who it's for
Children and adults, from beginners to advanced students. Children can start singing, piano, drums and dancing from age 4, and guitar, bass, violin, darbuka and DJing from age 7. The school says this is about instrument size, not ability. Singing can be taught in any language the student chooses.
What to expect
Singing and instrument lessons are private and counted in 30-minute lessons (an hour counts as two); dancing and DJing packages are sold as one-hour private lessons. For a child who isn't sure yet, the school suggests starting with a 4-lesson package, such as the 990 AED 'I Wanna Try' singing or instrument package. After the fourth lesson you decide together whether to carry on, or switch to another instrument, singing or dance. Each lesson is filmed so your child can practise at home by watching it. The school suggests 15 to 20 minutes of daily practice for a 30-minute lesson. No free trial lesson is published. Ask the provider about instrument rental.
