Master Kids Abacus Training Academy Dubai

The activity

Abacus, explained

Abacus classes teach children to do mental arithmetic with a bead abacus, then to picture the abacus in their head and calculate without it. Children practise addition, subtraction, multiplication and division through short, repeated bead drills, which exercise concentration, working memory and a feel for numbers. Lessons are usually structured and progress in levels, with practice set between sessions, so it tends to suit children who enjoy repetition and seeing steady progress more than open-ended creative play. Because the work is done on a physical or imagined abacus, it translates well to small groups, one-to-one lessons and online classes alike.
