Magic Planet is Majid Al Futtaim's chain of indoor arcade and ride centres in UAE malls, where you pay for games on a top-up card rather than with an entry ticket. The Mall of the Emirates branch, on Level 2 off Sheikh Zayed Road in Al Barsha, is temporarily closed: the mall's own Magic Planet page has said 'Temporarily Closed as of April 2025', and Magic Planet has posted that the branch is 'taking a short break' and will be back 'bigger, better, and more exciting than ever', without giving a date. Magic Planet's UAE locations page does not list a Mall of the Emirates store, and the branch page on its site no longer loads. Other Dubai branches include BurJuman and City Centre Mirdif (South), and the locations page also lists Wafi City and City Centre Me'aisem. Check the locations page for hours and any reopening date before you go.

The activity

Theme Parks & Amusement, explained

Magic Planet is Majid Al Futtaim's chain of indoor family entertainment centres in malls, with arcade games, rides and attractions, and bowling at some branches. There is no entry ticket. You buy a Magic Planet Card, an RFID Magic Band or a free digital card for Apple or Google Wallet, top it up, and tap it on each game or ride. Blue-swiper games come off the card's game credit. Redemption games pay out orange tickets that kids swap for prizes at the Prize Shop. Tickets and cash balance expire if the card is not reloaded within 6 months. What each centre has varies by branch, so check before you go.

Who it's for

Magic Planet describes its centres as indoor attractions for kids, teens and families. Age and height limits are set ride by ride, and the rules for each branch are not published, so ask the branch you plan to visit. The Mall of the Emirates branch is temporarily closed.

What to expect

At Magic Planet's open branches there is no entry ticket. You buy or link a Magic Planet Card, an RFID Magic Band or a free digital wallet card, top it up online or in store, and tap it on each game or ride. Redemption games pay out orange tickets for the Prize Shop. Tickets and cash balance expire if the card is not reloaded within 6 months. The Mall of the Emirates branch is closed right now, so there is nothing to book or visit there. Pick a branch on this page to see its address, hours and contact details.
