Juventus Academy, Business Bay: kids football at Danube Sports World
About Juventus Academy Flag Island
Juventus Academy Dubai & Sharjah delivers Juventus Football Club's own coaching approach, the Juventus Method, and has run in the UAE since 2015. Two of its training venues are Danube Sports World in Business Bay and FPA Academy Sharjah on Flag Island. Business Bay trains younger groups (Under 5 to Under 10) on weekday evenings, and Flag Island trains Under 6 to Under 16 on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Tryouts are free. The academy says it trained more than 1,500 players across nine locations last season. Its coaches are trained and certified by Juventus, a Juventus Area Manager spends up to 30 days a season in Dubai and Sharjah overseeing coaching, and families receive midterm and final evaluations with certificates. The official kit is compulsory. Pick a branch on this page for its days, times and contact number.
The activity
Football, explained
Football training for kids is built around ball control, passing, dribbling, shooting and small-sided games. Alongside the skills, children build fitness, balance and coordination, and learn to play as part of a team, listen to a coach and cope with winning and losing. Academies usually group players by age band (Under 6, Under 8 and so on), so children train with others at a similar stage. Sessions run through a season, often with tournaments or league matches for players who want to compete. Many children start at four or five with simple, game-based sessions, then move to more structured tactical work as they get older.
Who it's for
Children whose age group the branch runs: Under 5 to Under 10 at Business Bay, and Under 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 at Flag Island; the academy as a whole takes players aged 4 to 17. Girls teams are listed at PLAYCE in Dubai Media City and the Australian International School Sharjah, not at these two venues, and goalkeeper programmes at Emirates International School and Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club. Ability levels and special needs support are not published - ask the branch.
