Hitterz Sport Academy is a Dubai cricket, football and speed and power academy, running since 2025. Cricket training runs at two venues: the Amity University Dubai campus in Academic City, and PEA School Ground in Oud Metha (Gate No. 1, near Oud Metha Metro Station). Founder and director Balakannan Kasirajan is BCCI and Cricket Australia certified, and the cricket programme is split into Development, Emerging and Professional tiers. Hitterz squads play in the Emirates Cricket Board U12 and U15 National Academy Leagues and in the academy's own Hitterz Emerging Cup. The academy says it tracks more than 114 data points per player, and parents get a coach feedback report after the free first assessment. A speed and power programme with ASCA-certified strength and conditioning coaching is also offered, priced separately from cricket fees. Weekend football training for children runs at Amity University Dubai. Both girls and boys train at the academy.

The activity

Cricket, explained

Cricket coaching for kids builds batting, bowling and fielding technique through nets sessions and drills, alongside teamwork and match awareness as children progress to playing full games. Academy sessions usually group children by age and ability: younger players start with hand-eye coordination, throwing and catching, then move on to a proper batting stance, bowling action and fielding positions. Beginners often play with a softer ball before moving to a hard leather ball, and training builds towards friendly matches and league fixtures so children can put their skills into practice. Many children start from around primary-school age, and cricket also develops concentration and resilience under pressure.

Who it's for

Girls and boys who want structured cricket coaching, from newcomers in the Development tier to Emerging and Professional players. The academy's squads play in the ECB U12 and U15 National Academy Leagues. The site doesn't give a youngest starting age for cricket - ask the provider. The Oud Metha price list shows Emerging and Professional tiers only, so ask which venue suits your child's level.
