The activity

Swimming, explained

Learn-to-swim classes take children from first water confidence through to independent stroke technique. Children usually begin with breath control, floating and kicking, then move on to front crawl, backstroke and other strokes as they grow in confidence. Small groups let the instructor watch each child closely and correct technique early. Swimming is a core safety skill for families in Dubai, where pools and beaches are part of everyday life, and many swim schools take children from a young age through to their teens, often moving them up through staged levels so parents can see their progress.

Who it's for

Children - the academy describes its offer as 'Professional Swimming Lessons for Kids'. The website does not publish an age range or levels, so ask the provider which ages and abilities they take.
