The activity

Cricket, explained

Cricket coaching for children builds batting, bowling and fielding technique through drills and nets sessions. Younger beginners usually start with the basics - grip, stance, throwing and catching - and move on to bowling actions, shot selection and game awareness as they grow. Older juniors spend more time in the nets and in match situations, and some go on to tournaments or representative squads. Along the way it builds hand-eye coordination, concentration and patience, and because it is a team game, kids learn to back their teammates and respect the umpire. Beginners often start with a softer ball and move to a hard ball once their technique is secure.

Who it's for

Children and teens: Junior Coaching is for players below 12 years and Senior Coaching for players above 12. The academy says it coaches all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players, and also runs adult coaching and high-performance sessions at weekends.

What to expect

Kids train in group sessions by age: juniors below 12 from 5-6:30PM and seniors above 12 from 7-9PM. The coaches describe working on batting, bowling and fielding technique, alongside discipline and the right mindset. Personal training is offered all year and video analysis on request. The website does not describe a first session, a trial policy or what kit to bring, so ask the provider before your first visit - you can reach them on WhatsApp or by phone on +971 50 918 2521, or by email.
