The activity

Exam Prep, explained

Exam prep centres coach students for specific tests rather than a school subject as a whole. For secondary students that usually means school board exams such as CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE or IB, maths Olympiads, and university entrance tests like NEET, JEE or the SAT. Sessions mix teaching of the syllabus with worksheets, chapter tests and timed mock papers, so students learn the content and how to manage the clock on the day. It builds exam technique, steady revision habits and confidence under time pressure. Most families start in the early secondary years, when board exams and entrance tests begin to come into view.

Who it's for

Secondary-school students: the institute sets out its test prep grade by grade from Grade 8 to Grade 12, covering ICSE/ISC, CBSE, GCSE/IGCSE, A-level and IB boards, plus Olympiad, NEET-UG (with training recommended from grade XI), engineering entrance and SAT/ACT. GRE and GMAT courses are for adults heading to graduate school. Ask the centre which courses run at BurJuman.

What to expect

The institute describes starting with an IQ test for competency mapping and goal setting, then a study plan with worksheets, chapter-wise assessments, mock tests, periodic study reports and a revision tool students can use at home. Olympiad students get live sessions, video lectures, one-on-one sessions on Olympiad topics and past-paper practice. Classes can be in the classroom, online or hybrid. Trial classes, class sizes, fees and batch timings are not published, so ask the centre, and ask which courses are taught at the BurJuman centre.
