The activity

Exam Prep, explained

Exam prep and school tuition help secondary students firm up what they learn at school and get ready for big tests. Sessions usually run in a classroom with a tutor and a small group, or one to one, and mix topic teaching with practice questions and timed mock papers. Students typically work towards board exams such as CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE or A Level, or admissions tests such as the SAT and IELTS. It builds subject confidence, exam technique and steady study habits. Students can start from the early secondary years (grade 6 here) for steady subject support, or a term or two before a major exam.

Who it's for

School students in grades 6-12 following the CBSE, ICSE or British curriculum, and older students preparing for O Level, AS/A Level, IBDP, AP, SAT, IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or JEE/NEET. The same institute runs GRE, GMAT and professional courses for adults. Support for special educational needs is not mentioned on the website; ask the provider.

What to expect

Start with the free demo class, which you can book through the form on the website. The institute describes small batches and regular mock tests and assessments to track progress, and says it provides study material covering the exam syllabus. Student comments on its homepage mention one-to-one classes during the week and taking home practice questions, so ask which format (group or one to one) your child would join. The website does not publish fees, class length or weekly timetable, so ask the provider. Its terms say payments for courses are non-refundable unless a written agreement says otherwise, so read the programme details before you pay.
