How much are swimming lessons at Apex?

Apex's 2025-26 Learn to Swim fees (VAT included) were AED 1,980 for a 21-week term at one session a week, up to AED 6,175 for four a week; monthly (four-week) packages were AED 440 for one session a week up to AED 1,370 for four. A AED 250 registration fee includes the Apex kit. These are last season's published fees and Apex does not say they differ by pool, so confirm the current term's prices with Apex.

For 2025-26, Apex listed Learn to Swim at South View School on weekdays 2PM-8PM and at weekends 12PM-8PM, and at Al Barsha Sports Center on weekdays 12PM-7PM and at weekends 10AM-5PM. Confirm times for the current term and your child's exact class slot with Apex.

What age can my child start?

Apex's programme pages don't give age bands for the kids' classes, so ask the provider.

Is there a free trial lesson?

Apex's site doesn't mention a trial or assessment session. Ask the provider; when booking online you can choose the "NEW" level if you're unsure where your child fits.

Is there a sibling discount?

Yes. Apex's fee page says the first child pays in full and the second and third child get 10% off.

Through Apex's booking system: register, add your child, choose the sport, term (Learn to Swim or Squad), location, package and level, then pick a class time and pay. You can also call Apex on +971 50 364 0709.

Apex Swimming Club is the swimming arm of Apex Sports Academy, a Dubai academy that also runs tennis, basketball, taekwondo and boxing. Lessons happen in pools Apex hires, not at the academy's office. Two of them are indoor: South View School in Remraam and Al Barsha Sports Center. Apex lists Learn to Swim at both, and its Competitive Squad at South View School. Learn to Swim is described as giving young swimmers a strong foundation in essential aquatic skills, with each stage building on the last, while the squad follows a Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) framework, with sub-groups for swimmers as they move up through the levels. Apex sums up its swim programme in five values: enjoy, learn, develop, motivate and compete. Families book through Apex's booking system, choosing a sport, term, location, package and level; if you're not sure of your child's level, Apex tells you to pick "NEW".

The activity

Swimming, explained

Learn-to-swim lessons take children from splashing about to swimming on their own, one small step at a time. Early sessions are about feeling safe in the water: floating, kicking, blowing bubbles and getting the face wet. From there, children move on to gliding, breathing and the four strokes (front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly), plus the water-safety skills every Dubai child needs around pools and beaches. Swimming builds stamina, coordination and confidence, and children who love it can move on to squad training and galas. Most programmes place a new swimmer by level rather than age, so ask the club which group suits your child.

Who it's for

Children learning to swim (Learn to Swim kids' classes) and young swimmers training competitively (Competitive Squad, split into sub-groups by level). Apex's programme pages don't publish age bands for these classes, so ask the provider which group suits your child. Apex also runs adult and ladies-only classes, which are separate from the kids' programme.

What to expect

New swimmers are placed by level: when booking, Apex asks you to choose "NEW" if you're unsure where your child fits. Lessons run at the pool of the branch you pick. There's a one-off registration fee that includes the full Apex kit, so your child gets the club gear on joining. Apex's site doesn't mention a trial or assessment session, lesson length or group size, so ask the provider about these before you commit to a term.
