Adventure Zone is the climbing and ropes side of Adventure HQ, the outdoor store, with centres at The Galleria Mall on Al Wasl Road, The Galleria Mall Al Barsha, Times Square Center and Dalma Mall in Abu Dhabi. It is a pay-by-the-session day out rather than a class: book 30 minutes, an hour or two hours, and an instructor harnesses your child and clips them on. What is on offer depends on the branch. An indoor adventure park is a climbing and rope playground under one roof, built for children who want to go up rather than just run around. Kids wear a harness and an instructor clips them on to auto-belay climbing walls, themed fun walls and rope courses strung between platforms. The low ropes sit close to the ground for younger children, while the high ropes are a real test of balance and nerve. It builds strength, coordination and confidence, and children can climb at their own pace. At Adventure Zone the fun walls, climbing wall and low ropes start at 4 years and the high ropes at 6.
