Oud Metha

SkillHub Institute is a tuition and exam-coaching centre on the third floor of Al Nasr Plaza in Oud Metha. Its student side covers IGCSE, O Level, AS and A Level preparation across Cambridge, Edexcel and AQA, a CBSE Mastery Program for Grades 6 to 12, SAT and IELTS preparation, and coaching for India's JEE engineering and NEET medical entrance exams. The IGCSE and A Level programme is pitched at Grades 9 to 13. Coaching follows a five-step path: an academic assessment, a personalised study plan, structured coaching, ongoing evaluation with regular tests, then the exam itself. The centre talks about small class sizes and keeping parents updated on progress, and each student is paired with a mentor under what it calls its Learning Loom system. The same company also runs SkillHub Training, a separate arm offering diplomas and certifications for working adults, so check you are asking about the student programmes when you get in touch. It describes itself as KHDA-approved.

The activity

Exam Prep, explained

Exam prep coaching is tutoring aimed at one specific test or school board, such as IGCSE, A Level, CBSE board exams or university entrance exams. Students usually start with an assessment to find gaps, then work through the syllabus topic by topic with a tutor, practise past papers and sit mock tests under timed conditions. Alongside subject knowledge, it builds exam technique: reading questions carefully, managing time and showing working the way examiners expect. Programmes usually run through the secondary years, when board exams come into view. It suits children who work well with structure and regular feedback.

Who it's for

Secondary-school students: the CBSE Mastery Program is for Grades 6 to 12 and the IGCSE / A Level programme for Grades 9 to 13. JEE and NEET coaching is for students aiming at Indian engineering and medical entrance exams; SAT and IELTS preparation is also offered. There is nothing for younger children. Sessions are one-to-one or in small groups; levels and special needs support: ask the provider.

What to expect

The IGCSE / A Level and NEET pages currently advertise, as a limited-time offer, a free 30-minute consultation with a demo session and a personalised study strategy; both pages also offer a free subject assessment test. Confirm the offer is still running when you book. After that, coaching starts from an academic assessment and a personalised study plan, taught one-to-one or in small groups, with regular tests, progress tracking and feedback to parents along the way. Fees, timetables, session length and whether student classes are online or in person are not published: ask the provider.
