About Ready Position Tennis Academy
Ready Position Tennis Academy is a tennis and padel academy founded in 2022 and led by head coach and founder Erika Tarasenko, who has taught tennis in Dubai since 2015. Its contact address is The Grand Vintage Hotel (IMPZ) on Al Fay Road, Dubai Production City, and its site lists five more courts it uses, from Urban Playgrounds in Motor City to Anantara The Palm Resort. For children there are group lessons from age 4, pitched as tennis in a playful manner, plus one-to-one private lessons for kids. Groups have up to 6 players, sessions last an hour, and kids' classes run twice a week. The site lists four coaches, each with their playing and coaching background. The academy is rated 5.0 on Google from 21 reviews and identifies as women-owned on its Google listing. New families can ask for a free trial group class through the form on the website.
The activity
Tennis, explained
Junior tennis coaching teaches kids to rally, serve and play points on a real court, building hand-eye coordination, footwork and match awareness along the way. Sessions usually start with a warm-up and technique drills before moving into game-style play, and many coaches take beginners from around age 4-5 in small groups, moving them on to more competitive play as they improve. It suits kids who like a mix of individual skill-building and head-to-head play, and it's a sport they can keep playing for life.
Who it's for
Children from age 4 in kids' group lessons, plus one-to-one private lessons for kids (no age published - ask the provider); the academy also runs adult, women's and men's groups, semi-private lessons and padel.
What to expect
Each class lasts 60 minutes in four stages: warm-up, technique, game and a cool-down. Groups have up to 6 players, and the coach adjusts the workload for each child. Kids' classes are held twice a week. Rackets and balls are included, and you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before. New families can request a free trial group class through the sign-up form on readyposition.ae. Ask the provider which court and time slot your child's group uses.
