About Power Boxing Fitness
Power Boxing Fitness is a members-only boxing studio behind Radisson RED in Dubai Silicon Oasis. Alongside its adult boxing, Muay Thai, kickboxing and personal training, it runs a termly kids' programme, with boys and girls training in separate groups. Term 1 runs from September to December 2026. Girls start in Power Puff (4-6), then Little Warriors (7-9) and Fearless Queens (10-12). Boys start in Mini Champs (4-6), then Power Boxing Juniors (7-9), Power Next Gen (10-12) and Teen Beginners (13-16). The younger groups mix basic boxing and kickboxing with coordination, balance and listening skills. Older groups add combinations, footwork, defence and conditioning. Committed boys can move into competition groups: Competition Juniors (7-10), Competition Seniors (11-13) and Teen Champs (14-17). A Girls Champ group is open to selected students only. The studio has separate men's and women's sections, with a complete privacy screen on the women's side. On Google it holds 5.0 stars from 132 reviews.
The activity
Boxing, explained
Boxing for children is mostly about technique and fitness rather than fighting. Kids learn a proper stance, footwork and the basic punches, then practise combinations on bags and on pads held by a coach. Sessions usually mix this with agility drills, coordination games and bodyweight exercises, broken into short, varied rounds that keep younger children moving. It builds coordination, stamina, balance and confidence, and the routine of listening to the coach and working in rounds teaches focus and self-control. Sparring, if any, comes later and is controlled by the coach, usually only in competition-track groups. Starting ages vary from club to club; at this studio the youngest groups are for 4 to 6 year olds.
Who it's for
Girls and boys aged 4 to 17, in separate groups by gender and age. Girls: Power Puff (4-6), Little Warriors (7-9), Fearless Queens (10-12) and Girls Champ (selected students only). Boys: Mini Champs (4-6), Power Boxing Juniors (7-9), Power Next Gen (10-12), Teen Beginners (13-16, for teens new to boxing and kickboxing), plus the competition groups Competition Juniors (7-10), Competition Seniors (11-13) and Teen Champs (14-17). A Sunday Kickboxing Teens class covers ages 11 to 16 and is non-contact. There is no published information on support for children with additional needs, so ask the provider.
What to expect
The kids' groups run in 45-minute classes; the competition groups and the teen kickboxing class run for 60 minutes. Each class is capped at between 7 and 10 places in the studio's booking portal. The younger groups focus on basic boxing movements, an introduction to kickboxing, coordination, balance and listening skills; the competition groups add pad work and controlled sparring. The homepage offers a free one-session trial class; ask whether it can be used in your child's group. Ask the provider what your child should wear and bring.
