About Parkour DXB
Parkour DXB teaches children's parkour at four Dubai gyms: The Palm (Golden Mile 9), Al Quoz, Mirdif and JVC (Circle Mall). Classes are split by age, and the club's aim goes beyond the moves: its curriculum is built around confidence, connection and creativity, with kids solving problems, working as a team and finding their own ways over obstacles. Classes run in 16-week terms (Term 1 2026 is Monday 31 August to Sunday 20 December), with a choice of two or three sessions a week, and fees are pro-rated if you join mid-term. Tabby payment plans let you split the fee. New children can start with a free trial class, and every coach is a certified first aid responder who has completed child protection training. The activity
Parkour, explained
Parkour is the art of moving through a space efficiently - running, jumping, vaulting, climbing and rolling over, under and around obstacles. For children it starts with the basics: safe landings, balance, simple jumps and vaults, then builds towards bigger challenges as strength and confidence grow. There is rarely one right way over an obstacle, so kids learn to size up a problem and find their own route, which builds coordination, focus and self-belief alongside fitness. Classes are usually small groups led by a coach, and at Parkour DXB the youngest age group starts at 3 years.
Who it's for
Children and teens, with a free trial class for newcomers. At The Palm the age groups are 3-5, 5-10 and 11-17 years; JVC has a dedicated area for 3-5 year olds (the Wallabies). The site does not list age bands for Al Quoz or Mirdif, so ask the branch. Children of determination are welcome in group classes if they can take part independently; for those needing extra support, the club suggests one-to-one private sessions with a tailored plan.
What to expect
Start with a free trial class: pick your branch and your child's age group on the booking page, then choose an intro class - no commitment. Arrive 5-10 minutes early so your child can settle in for the safety introduction and warm-up. Dress them in comfortable sports clothes such as shorts and a T-shirt, trainers with a rubber sole, and bring a full water bottle. You're welcome to watch, though seating is limited; Milestone Week is when parents are invited to see progress. Book ahead, as spaces fill up, and give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule a missed class.
