About Padel Pro One Central
Padel Pro runs two padel clubs in Dubai: outdoor courts at One Central by the Dubai World Trade Centre (five panoramic courts) and indoor courts in Al Quoz (four panoramic courts). Alongside court hire, matchmaking and adult coaching, both run junior training for children aged 8 to 16. Junior sessions last 60 minutes, are led by a coach and take up to four players. Beginners are welcome, and sessions mix technique, footwork and game strategy with drills and live play. The club lists weekday after-school sessions, weekend morning sessions and extra training in the school holidays. Prices differ by club: on the outdoor price list (last updated November 2025) a single junior session is AED 120 and a four-session pack AED 400; the indoor list (undated) shows AED 130 for one session and AED 550 for five. Confirm the current price when booking. Both clubs have a pro shop, a cafe with a lounge and free parking.
The activity
Padel, explained
Padel is a racket sport that mixes tennis and squash. It is usually played in pairs on a court about 20 by 10 metres, enclosed by glass walls and mesh fencing, with a solid, short-handled racket and an underarm serve. The ball can be played off the walls after it bounces, which keeps rallies going, so beginners get into proper games quickly. Because it is played in doubles, children learn to talk to a partner, cover space together and make quick decisions. It builds hand-eye coordination, footwork, balance and reflexes, and the small court means less long-distance running than tennis. Clubs set their own starting ages; Padel Pro takes juniors from age 8.
Who it's for
Children aged 8 to 16, from complete beginners to young players with some experience; no previous padel is needed. Players are grouped four to a session, and the club says sessions are adapted by age group. For children with additional needs, ask the club you pick.
What to expect
A junior session is 60 minutes on court with a coach and up to three other children. Expect work on grip, control and footwork, then game-based drills and live play. Children should wear comfortable sports clothes and non-marking court shoes, and bring water and a small towel. At One Central the courts are outdoors, so add sunscreen and a cap. Rackets can be rented at both clubs (AED 30 on each price list). Whether a free or discounted trial is offered is not published, so ask the club.
