The activity
Science Tutor, explained
Private tutoring pairs a child with a tutor, one-to-one or in a small group, to work through school topics at the child's own pace: filling gaps, building exam technique or getting ahead of the syllabus. Maths and science tutoring usually follows the child's school curriculum (British, IB, American and Indian curricula are all common in Dubai) and covers anything from arithmetic and algebra to biology, chemistry and physics, depending on age. Sessions often last about an hour, weekly or more often around exams, at the tutor's address, the family's home or online. It suits children who need more confidence in a subject as much as those aiming for higher grades.
Who it's for
Secondary-school students on the IB curriculum (Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme) or the British curriculum (GCSE, IGCSE and A-Levels) who want help with maths, physics or chemistry, as the tutor's August 2026 post on Google sets out. Ask the tutor about younger children and other subjects.
What to expect
