About Emirates Science Club نادي الإمارات العلمي
Emirates Science Club, نادي الإمارات العلمي in Arabic, has been part of Dubai's Cultural & Scientific Association since 15 January 1990, and its building is in Al Wuheida, Deira. Its seasonal courses are for UAE national students aged 7 to 18, boys and girls. The summer 2026 course ran from 5 July to 4 August, 5-8PM at the club, with two weeks for boys and two for girls; the winter 2025 course ran from 7 to 22 December. Workshops cover electricity and electronics, AI and data analysis, cybersecurity, robotics, 3D printing, general chemistry, sustainability, carpentry and fine art, and the summer course ended with an exhibition of the students' projects. Since September 2026 the club has posted weekly robotics training for its students on Instagram. Summer 2026 cost AED 200 with transport within Dubai or AED 150 without. It is rated 4.5 on Google from 42 reviews. The club announces each new course, with its registration link, on scienceclub.ae.
The activity
Science Club, explained
A science club gives children time to do science rather than just read about it. Typical sessions are small hands-on projects: simple experiments with everyday materials, building circuits or models, basic coding and robotics, looking at things under a microscope or through a telescope, and working in a team towards a school science fair or competition. The aim is curiosity and confidence: asking a question, testing an idea, getting it wrong and trying again. Clubs usually group children by school year, and many start at around 6 to 8, once a child can follow instructions and work with small parts safely. What each club actually runs, and for which ages, varies a lot, so it is always worth asking.
Who it's for
UAE national students aged 7 to 18, boys and girls: the club's winter 2025 and summer 2026 course announcements were both for citizen students in that age range, with separate weeks for boys and girls. The summer 2026 course took students from across the UAE, with transport offered within Dubai only. The club's membership page, published in 2022, also lists an associate membership for students who are not UAE nationals; if your child is not Emirati, call +971 4 272 2252 and ask whether they can join a course.
What to expect
Courses are hands-on workshops held in person at the club, 5-8PM (summer 2026 and winter 2025). They cover fields such as robotics, electricity and electronics, 3D printing, cybersecurity, general chemistry and carpentry, and the summer 2026 course closed with an exhibition of the students' projects. Each student gets a certificate of participation at the end. To register you need a copy of the child's Emirates ID, a personal photo and a copy of their school certificate, and the club posts a registration link with each course announcement. Nothing about a trial session is published, so ask the club. The building has a wheelchair-accessible entrance and car park.
