About Ecoventure
Ecoventure is a Dubai outdoor education company that works with schools on adventure-based learning and trips, and runs holiday camps for families during the school breaks. The camps are for children aged 3 to 13, including children from outside Kings' School, and take place at three Kings' School campuses: Al Barsha, Dubai and Nad Al Sheba. The Multi Activity Holiday Camp mixes climbing, archery, science experiments, performing arts, arts and crafts, team-building, baking, STEM, sports and martial arts, with specialist activities such as climbing and martial arts running once a week. At Kings' School Al Barsha and Kings' School Dubai there is also an Engineers to Be and Multi Activity camp for ages 3 to 12, split half and half between multi-activity sessions and engineering projects, with coding and video game design for the older groups. Parents can book single days or full weeks. Ecoventure also runs weekend experiences, overnight camps and birthday parties at Al Mazra'a in Ras Al Khaimah. Dates and fees are shown when you book online, or ask the provider.
The activity
Holiday Camps, explained
A multi-activity holiday camp fills the school break with a rotating mix of sessions rather than one sport. Over a week children might try climbing, archery, a science experiment, arts and crafts and a team game, so they get to test lots of things without committing to a term of classes. It builds confidence with new challenges, social skills with children they have not met before, and a bit of independence away from home and school routines. Camps are usually grouped by age, and many start taking children from around three or four, with the youngest groups on gentler activities.
Who it's for
Children aged 3 to 13 for the Multi Activity Holiday Camp, and 3 to 12 for the Engineers to Be and Multi Activity camp. The camps are open to children from any school, not only Kings' School pupils. They run in the school holidays and can be booked by the single day or the full week, so they suit working parents and families staying in Dubai over the break. Ask the provider about support for children with additional needs.
What to expect
Each camp day is a mix of short activity sessions. On the Multi Activity camp that could be archery, baking or a STEM challenge; specialist activities such as climbing and martial arts run once a week, with ages 3 to 6 on the bouldering wall and ages 7 and over on the mobile wall. On the Engineers to Be version half the time goes on engineering projects, and older children can do coding and video game design. You can book single days or full weeks in any school holiday. Camps are held on Kings' School campuses, not at the Motor City office. Daily times, what to pack and lunch are not on the public pages, so ask the provider.
