About Dubai Safari Park

Dubai Safari Park is in Al Warqa 5 on the E44 Hatta Road, opposite Dragon Mart, for families with children of any age: under-3s go free, Kids Farm is pitched at ages 3-12, and the free Saturday workshops are for 6-12s. It is seasonal: Season 8 opened on 12 October 2026, the closing date is not published yet, and in season it is open daily 9am to 6pm. The park's site gives last entry as 5pm, but the booking site's terms still say doors close at 4pm, so be inside well before 4pm. The Safari Park Pass is from AED 50 online and the Safari Bundle AED 117. Across 119 hectares there are six zones: African Village, Asian Village, Explorer Village, Arabian Desert Safari, Kids Farm and Al Wadi, with 3,000-plus animals from 300-plus species. Every ticket includes the 15-minute Arabian Desert Safari ride and five free live animal presentations a day; the 35-minute Explorer Safari Tour past lions, rhinos and hippos needs the Safari Bundle. Paid encounters such as giraffe feeding (AED 20) are added at checkout.

The activity

Attractions & Edutainment, explained

A wildlife park is a day out where children walk, ride and watch their way through animal habitats built to feel like the real thing: a savannah, a rainforest, a desert. Kids spot elephants, giraffes and big cats from a safari vehicle, sit through short live animal presentations, and at a farm zone they can pet and hand-feed goats, rabbits and birds. It builds patience and observation, early science vocabulary (habitats, endangered species, what each animal eats) and a sense of why wildlife needs protecting. Toddlers enjoy the farm animals and the ride; from about 3 most children can follow the whole park, and from 6 they get the most out of the shows and workshops.

Who it's for

Families with children of all ages. Children under 3 enter free. Kids Farm, with pygmy goats, Shetland ponies, rabbits and guinea pigs, is described by the park as perfect for ages 3-12. The free Saturday Young Explorers workshops are for ages 6-12. An adult must accompany children up to 12 at all times. People of Determination enter free and wheelchair-accessible transport, wheelchair and mobility scooter rental and baby-changing facilities are available; call 800 900 to discuss access needs.

What to expect

Book the Safari Park Pass or Safari Bundle online, pick a date and time slot, add animal encounters at the add-ons stage, and show the e-ticket at the gate. Allow 4-5 hours and arrive at 9am opening. Walk or take the shuttle train between the six zones (included with the Safari Bundle or as an add-on), ride the 15-minute Arabian Desert Safari that comes with every ticket, and catch the free presentations: Birds Kingdom at 11am and 2pm, Echoes of the Wild at 1pm and 3pm, Birds of Prey at 4pm, about 30 minutes each, seats go 10 minutes early. Bring a hat, sunscreen and comfortable shoes; no outside food. Times can change, so check the board at the entrance.
