About BRICKS 4 KIDZ Creativity Centre
BRICKS 4 KIDZ Creativity Centre is listed on Google as an education centre on 39th Street in Al Barsha 3, Dubai, with the phone number +971 4 347 0660. Bricks 4 Kidz is a LEGO-based learning brand. Its UAE website, bricks4kidz.ae, describes after-school programmes, holiday camps, robotics and coding, school workshops and birthday parties built around LEGO bricks, grouped by age from 3 upwards. That website does not mention this Al Barsha centre, and its only UAE address is at the Grandstand, The Meydan Hotel, Nad Al Sheba. So before you plan a visit, call +971 4 347 0660 and check that the centre is open, which classes run here, for which ages, when and at what price. The centre is rated 3.7 on Google from 6 reviews, and the Google listing notes a wheelchair-accessible car park.
The activity
LEGO & Engineering, explained
LEGO and engineering classes use building bricks to teach how things work. Children follow a model plan or a design challenge, then build something that moves or holds weight: a crane, a car, a spinning top, a bridge. Along the way they meet simple ideas such as gears, levers, wheels and axles, balance and strength. Older children often add motors and sensors and write simple block-based code to make their models move, which leads into robotics. It builds fine motor skills, patience, problem-solving and teamwork, and children usually start with the large DUPLO bricks around ages 3 to 5 before moving on to classic LEGO and robotics kits.
Who it's for
Ages for this centre are not published. The Bricks 4 Kidz UAE website (pages last updated January 2024) groups its after-school programmes as 3-5 years (DUPLO and classic LEGO bricks), 5-7, 7-9 and 9+ years, says its holiday camps are for ages 5-13, and lists robotics and coding programmes from age 5 to 13. It does not say which of these run in Al Barsha: ask the provider.
What to expect
What a first session at the Al Barsha centre looks like is not published, and nor are class times, prices or a trial policy. The Bricks 4 Kidz UAE website describes its sessions as learning through play: children build models with LEGO bricks and, in the robotics and coding programmes, add motors and sensors and program them with drag-and-drop software. Call +971 4 347 0660 to check that the centre is running classes, then ask which programme suits your child's age, how long a session lasts, whether you can try one first, and whether parents stay or drop off.
