About Behaviour Enrichment
Behaviour Enrichment (BE) is a therapy and special education centre at Barsha Business Square in Al Barsha 1, with a second, affiliated centre in Al Nahda. Its therapy services - ABA, speech and feeding therapy, occupational therapy with sensory integration, and social skills training - are for children aged 18 months to 16 years. BE also runs a half- or full-day classroom-based day programme, academic support, learning support and school inclusion services, summer and winter intensives, and outreach sessions at home, school or in the community. The centre says its staff are licensed by the DHA, CDA and BACB (the US board that certifies behaviour analysts), that each child's progress is recorded every day, and that goals are shared with parents monthly. Telehealth therapy is offered mainly for families abroad. Weekly therapy hours are recommended after an initial consultation, and prices are not published, so ask the centre. It is rated 4.7 on Google from 110 reviews.
The activity
Creative & Play Therapy, explained
Behavioural and developmental therapy uses structured, often one-to-one sessions to help a child build communication, social, learning and daily-living skills. Common approaches include ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis), speech and feeding therapy, and occupational therapy with sensory integration. A session might involve practising a target skill through play, following a structured routine or working on sensory and motor activities, all tailored to the child's assessed needs rather than a fixed curriculum. It suits children with a wide range of developmental, behavioural or communication needs, and it usually begins with an assessment or consultation before a plan and weekly hours are agreed.
Who it's for
Children aged 18 months to 16 years for therapy services (ABA, speech, occupational therapy and social skills training), including children with autism and other learning, language or developmental difficulties.
What to expect
The first appointment is a screening consultation with the Clinical Director: the team listens to your concerns, observes your child and recommends services. Book it for a time your child is usually alert, come with both parents if possible, and arrive 15 minutes early with your child's Emirates ID copy, a photo and any past medical or assessment reports. Once therapy starts you receive an individualised treatment plan, and progress is reviewed with you every 4-6 weeks. Parents stay at the centre for the first few sessions while the child settles in. Most materials are supplied by BE.
