The activity
Boxing, explained
247 Martial Arts teaches three striking disciplines: kickboxing, boxing and karate. In kickboxing, children learn punches, kicks, elbows and knees alongside guard, slips and blocks, plus sparring and live pressure training. Boxing focuses on punches, footwork and defence, and builds fitness, timing, reflexes and focus. Karate adds structure and control through kata, set movement patterns, and kumite, controlled sparring, with blocks, kicks and counter-attacks after defence. All three reward practice and help children build coordination, confidence and self-control. The centre runs kids' classes from beginner level, so no experience is needed. Ask the provider what age they take children from.
Who it's for
Kids and adults, from complete beginners to advanced students, with tournament exposure for those who want to compete. Ask the provider what age children can start from.
